2 Winter Warmers That Really Make Tea Hot.

Tea is hot, that's for sure. With a total sales increase of 5.1 billion dollars between 1990 and 2007, there's no denying that tea is as hot as ever.

But drinking the popular beverage in its usual hot form isn't necessarily the coolest way to go.  Below are two of my all-time favorite, oh-so delish tea-themed drinks that will take you from day to night with ease. .

SPICED CHAI MARTINIS
A bit of vodka turns our traditional Sassafras chai blend into an evening delight.
Chai Tea, Tea Cocktails
What you'll need:
2 Tbs. - Sassafras Chai Tea
2 Cups - Milk (Soy or Rice milk works too!)
1 tsp. - Agave Nectar (or your sweetener of choice)
2 oz. - Vodka (Han Rice-Infused Vodka!)
Cracked Ice

What you do:
Combine the tea, milk, and agave nectar in a small pot on medium heat.  Slowly cook for about 10 minutes and decrease heat gradually.

Strain the loose leaf tea from the pot and let cool.  Combine tea and vodka into a shaker with crushed ice  and shake vigorously.  Pour into your favorite chilled martini glass, add a cinnamon stick, and enjoy!
Black Tea, Chocolate Tea, Rooibos
CHOCOLATE COCONUT DREAM
Our Mix & Mingle blend of black tea, chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla, and rooibos is simply irresistable.  But add a hint of rum and an afternoon tea time becomes a moment to remember.

What you'll need:
1 tsp. Mix & Mingle Tea
Hot Water
2 Tbs. Puerto Rican Rum
Agave Nectar to taste (optional)

What you do:
Steep tea in hot water for approximately 5 minutes.  Remove infuser (or disposable tea bag) from cup.  Add rum to hot tea. Savor!
